I trained and worked as an illustrator before morphing into a graphic designer and a college lecturer. Mucha has followed me my whole life, as he is such an important figure not just in fine art but in the growth of commercial illustration and the influence of fine art in typography and graphic design. He’s too often seen only for his decorative posters and not truly appreciated for the full range and power of his work.
I’ve not seen enough of his work in real life - something I need to improve on.
His work is beautiful and I’d love to see his stained glass windows! A sad ending, but a fulfilling life. Wonderful post Muse!
